5 song demo |

| That's right friends, The 5 Song Demo. This was recorded in late 1993 at Hip Pocket Studios in New York. It's the classic power trio line-up of Mark Zampella on guitar, Rob Errera on bass and vocals, and Drew Zampella on drums. These five songs later found their way on to Stone Age Philosophy (GCB), only in different form. The real story behind the making of this CD has to be the drum kit. It was the mangiest looking piece of shit you could imagine, but mic-ed up, it sounded all big and shit. Standard recording studio trap kit. Rob is playing some nice bass lines on Candy, and the guitar solo on Come In is way the hell out of control. If you listen carefully to the 2nd verse of Jeff and the Others, you'll hear 2 Eskimos singing Russian folk songs and playing skeetball while wearing tube socks in the middle of July. The rap section in the middle of Two Mortals is completely improvised, and the solo section of Dad was edited down from it's original length of 12 minutes. Look for the un-edited version when the Your Name Here Box Set is released. This CD is a must for any Your Name Here fan, as no collection is complete without it. You should really order several copies, since they're only 5 bucks and all. |
